Rev. Dr. Willie F. Smith was appointed Pastor of Denton Faith United Methodist Church on July 1, 2023. He previously served as interim pastor of Peoples United Methodist Church in Detroit, Michigan Senior Pastor of St James United Methodist Church in Westland Michigan and Senior Pastor at Conant Avenue United Methodist Church in Detroit, Michigan. Rev. Smith is married to Dianne Lynne Jefferson -Smith for 41 years. They have two daughters and six grandchildren. 4 girls and 2 boys. Rev. Smith’s desire in life is to let people know of the joy he feels and they too can experience in serving our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. His favorite scripture can be found in the book of Psalms the 55 chapter and the 22 verse, “Cast thy burden upon the Lord and he shall sustain thee; he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved. “(KJV) His favorite saying is “everything will be alright as long as you are right with Jesus Christ.”
